How to Play Binairo

Binairo (also known as Takuzu or Binary Sudoku) is a logic puzzle played on a square grid. Fill every cell with a 0 or 1 following three rules. No guessing required — every puzzle has a unique solution reachable by pure logic.

Equal count  Each row and column must have equal numbers of 0s and 1s.
No triplets  No more than two identical numbers may appear consecutively in any row or column.
Unique rows  No two rows may be identical. No two columns may be identical.
Click to fill  Click a cell once for 0, again for 1, again to clear. Errors highlight in red.

Binairo Solving Strategy

Spot forced cells immediately
If two identical numbers appear consecutively, the cells on both sides must be the opposite. If 1-1 appears, both flanking cells must be 0. This is your first scan every time.
Use the count constraint
On a 6×6 grid, each row needs exactly three 0s and three 1s. If a row already has three 1s, every remaining empty cell must be 0. Check this after every placement.
Eliminate via uniqueness
If two rows are identical except for one empty cell, the empty cell must be filled with whichever value makes the rows different. The uniqueness rule is often the key to unlocking stuck positions.

What is the difference between Binairo and Binary Sudoku? +

They are the same puzzle under different names. Binairo is the commercial name; Takuzu is another. The puzzle uses only two symbols (0 and 1) with three constraints: equal counts, no triplets, and unique rows and columns.
